June 2024

Feel healthier, joyful, and more vital

Women’s Holistic Health Retreat

June 14-16, 2024 at Loon Lake Lodge in Maple Ridge, BC!

Do you feel tired, low in energy, disconnected, or have symptoms related to inflammation?

Escape with us for a weekend getaway to learn how nutrition, creativity, and connection can remedy these symptoms.

You won’t just feel great over the weekend, but will learn valuable information to take home with you to improve your health and vitality!

Our mental and physical health have been challenged collectively during these turbulent times. This retreat will call on the power of community, the creative arts, and evidence-based food choices to foster connection and healing.

Discover yourself through creative experiences, and understand how your body metabolizes food.

Experiential Components

Informational Components

1-2 weeks before the retreat there will be a virtual lecture to discuss evidence-based approaches to healthy eating, glucose levels, and continuous glucose monitors. This will help you understand and compare your typical glucose patterns before and then while eating deliciously healthy food at the retreat.

The virtual lecture will also give you time to digest the information so you can discuss any further food-related questions with Dr. Barnett at the retreat.

October 2022 Retreat

Come join Katie Camani-Connell, Registered Acupuncturist, and Julie Krize, Practitioner of Osteopathy, for a weekend retreat this autumn!

The retreat will take place October 21-23, 2022, at Lush Earth Oasis in Stayner, Ontario. The weekend will be built around the theme of letting go as we lean into the Metal element of fall. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Metal reflects our relationships around attachment and is all about the inhaling and exhaling of life. In the same way our lungs inhale and exhale each breath, balanced Metal allows us to hold onto what is of value in our lives and let go of what no longer serves us.

Our time together will include structured group movement, community acupuncture, breathwork and meditation sessions as well as individual time for cupping and osteopathic treatments with Katie and Julie. There will be space and free time to rest, integrate, connect and play. We will turn our attention inward to access our values and what our unique inner knowing wants to teach us. Nature is a powerful healer, and Lush Earth Oasis offers a perfect place to drop into the practice of letting go.
